The longest running windsurfing regatta in the US continues. Our Fall Classic will be held at its home for many years, the Lake Lanier Sailing Club. Beginners through experts are welcome. Non-racers are invited to hang out and join us for dinner (dinner ticket information available on the Notice of Race).
The Notice of Race contains details, entry form, times and all that other stuff you need. Questions? Contact Chris Voith at voithphoto@gmail.com.

Interested in sailing the Outer Banks this fall? Several spots are open for a couple or individuals. Barrett & Peggy Walker have organized a windsurfing house on the water in Nags Head, NC for the weeks beginning Oct. 22 and Oct. 29. Despite concerns about damage from Hurricane Irene, both the road to Nags Head and the house are open. (Damage to the highway providing access to the Outer Banks, is further south.)

After struggling for a long time on the best way (okay, a good way, anyways) to assemble the accumulated local wisdom, I've installed a wiki at http://www.windsurfatlanta.org/wiki
It uses the same software as Wikipedia, so it looks a lot like Wikipedia.
Pros:Popular format backed by large developer community. Short learning curve. Self assembles and categorizies information with minimal work. Integrates well with Google Maps. Fairly easy to upload media such as photos. Allows community collaboration ie we can all participate in contributing content.
