Windsurfing & Dirt Bikes what a great combo

Drew and I took off Sunday for Tarpon Springs Fla to windsurf and dirt bike ride for a few days. We arrived at Fred Howard Park Fla on Sunday at noon. Sailed all day with me on my 8.0 and Techno and Drew on a 7.5. Drew is using that 7.5 very well. It was a powered up day all day. 18-20 W , 71 degrees and the water was not cold. Great fun day of sailing. On Monday we drove to Ocala Fla. and went to the Ocala National Forest ORV. This ORV is big and I had read that a lot of people get lost and the use of a GPS is advisable. Well, that had me taking caution as we ventured out. Sure enough there is not a single arrow, trail marker, or directions anywhere. Not even a map at the parking area. Parking was $4. Our objective was to go out and make it back to the car, which we did several time. We have now learned the area a little and we can feel a little more adventurous. This place is big and there are not land marks of any kind. Everything looks the same and it’s nothing but sand. The sand trails can get a little whooped our but the single track is in good shape. We will ride again today and I’ll let you know about that later. Our plan is to ride today but not too hard and then sail tomorrow back at Fred Howard Park with the front that is coming through and 15 to 25 winds.

More to come.

Forecast for Wed at Fred Howard is 20 -30 and 64 degrees
