This looks interesting. Has anyone local sailed here before? Lisa and I may try to check it out on our way up to the OBX, maybe hit it on Sat, 3/15, as our rental is a Sun to Sun rental.

If you are treveling, it is best to pay the $5 per windsurfer and launch from Camp Vandemere since they have hot showers and rest rooms, etc. Information is on the website. The party looks like it will start at about 9 AM. and last past 4. Vandemere is about a 3.5 hour drive to Manteo.

The forecast:

P.S. WEAR SUNSCREEN, even if it is cloudy.

Sorry, 3.5 hours to Rodanthe/Waves/Salvo, 3 hours to Manteo from Vandemere. Thanks.
