Nice to know that Wind-NC will continue and return to OBX. It has been a little disappointing that the number of Windsurf shops in OBX declined over the years. Visiting the shops was always a fun part of the trip.

The odd part about this - I don't remember that shop when it was in OBX. Did it go by a different name?
Wind NC was part of HIB Surf Shop (Hatteras Island Board Sports) - a shop directly across from the Avon pier. I think Andy just sub-leased part of the store and never put out a separate sign. With that being said, Andy did stock a lot of windsurfing gear - maybe even as much Ocean Air? I'm excited to see it coming back.
Back in the day, on non-windy days I could hop on my bike and hit Wind-NC, Ride Hatteras and Ocean Air on a 10 minute bike ride. I remembering thinking, how cool was that? Not many places where you can do that - hit 3 windsurfing stores on a short ride.

I remember Ken from Ocean Air, Nice guy.
I hope they are able to do well with the supply chain issues.

Thanks for the post. I agree, it's good to hear a shop will be returning the the Outer Banks.

Thanks. Now I remember which shop it was.

Sadly, there is more to this story than we may have realized.
