For any one contemplating coming, Maverick Putnam, one of the very talented Clearwater foilers, is giving a "clinic" both Thursday and Friday. This is your chance to ask questions and get help from a top level foiler and nice guy, too. Probably worth the price of the regatta just to bend his ear and eat BBQ Saturday night even if you never cross the starting line.

Practice day today. Nice to get coaching input on sail rigging and some tactical stuff. Good tops on going downwind for max vmg.

New board worked well. I feared it would be a bit aggressive but proper shape actually made a lot of things easier. Windy tomorrow which will be a challenge

12-25 today with a few stiffer gusts. Sailed the 6.9 while all the big guys sailed 9s. I had plenty of wind except for a few mistimed tacks.
Well powered downwind. Out of the time, set a few PBRs.
New board helped, really scoots upwind. Lots of fun and everyone is super nice.

Eduardo, at my suggestion, wants to include a "Cruiser Class" next year for rec windfoil and wingfoil. Probably a long reaching course. Would love to have more people come down and support the event. The water is pretty open but still relatively flat. Other than dodging the occasional crab pot buoy, it's pretty open and fresh water. Please think about coming. Camping available on site and the club has purchased a property next door so there will be more space and a beach to launch from next year.
