wind alerts via email and mobile phone text message

Are you guys interested in email and mobile text message wind alerts for the Atlanta area?

Check out http://www.pacificwindsurf.com/newsletter/windalert.htm at http://www.PacificWindsurf.com . Currently there are wind alerts for the coasts. I have not yet scripted any for Atanta but I could add a few if you think you would use them. This is free as it is just a hobby web site for me.

These are the sites in Georgia that I have available to use in the wind alert script. Could you tell me which locations would be more useful? I'm not that familar with the area. Thanks! I should have the sites live within the next few weeks.

IMHO, McCollum (KRYY) is probably better for Alatoona than either Rome or Dobbins. Rome is pretty far away, and Dobbins always reports far more wind that anywhere else. They do have a web page, but the windtalker is not automatic.

Joe and all, FYI, eventually this site will be doing much the same once my schedule permits. Then again, with what I need to get done on other projects over the next couple of months, it could be a while. Since my other gigs pay for more than this site does - it tends to lag....

Webguy, its summer and soccer will eventually end( yeah right)! We are so grateful for what you have done so far, and most of us will wait, cheaply, without remorse for what we get, soon, I trust. I need less work related crap on my blackberry and phone and more windsurfing stuff would make my life so much better. If you guys really want to get serious, go to http://www.windtrack.com, get yourself a Blackberry, and fork out a few bucks and behold instant propaganda or should I say wind reports. I would like to get my hands on some software that actually makes the wind blow in the region where I happen to be at the moment.
