Polar Bear Club of NY snow swim 2/27/21

They are PUTTING THEIR FACE IN THE WATER!

Love the commitment but on a personal level, I can't even imagine. I get shivers just drinking a cold glass of water. However, keep this video handy the next time someone questions your sanity for sailing on a 45 degree day.

Where are the wetsuits???

I looked up the Dec. water temperature in Long Island Sound. It ranges from 51 - 46F. When we windsurfed L. Lanier on Sat. the water was 46F, and we had the good sense to wear wetsuits.

What are the temps in February when this happened?
