Live report from OF

Good breeze but I do not see the wind that I saw a few moments ago on 985.
At 3pm guessing 7-10 mph

Fun at VP. I foiled a 7 and Zee windsurfed a 6.5. Didn't really pick up until around 5:30 though as it got really warm today, about 30 degrees warmer than Wed.

Zee broke his UJ the other day and he told me he cobbled up something with stuff he "made at home". The magnificent lad pulled this out - he machined the US cup by himself. I was expecting to see bubble gum and duct tape like I would have done. The only issue with it is that he couldn't undo the nut to the rubber bit so it had no safety strap. I lent him one of mine and got him on the water.

Used the Starboard 800 today. For a smallish wing, it really glides once you get it off the water. It took about 11 mph of wind to fly with my 7 but once up, I was gone. Still sorting jibes with the new board. Easiest thing to do was to get really powered up and then make big circles with subtle back foot pressure (back and rail) along the mid line of the board. If I didn't try to carve hard, it gently just made it around without a problem despite using a smaller wing than normal for the wind conditions.
