The chance of t-storms does dampen my enthusiasm. Anyone who does go should note that the temperature is forecast to drop like a rock in the afternoon. All in all this looks more like a trick than a treat.

Randy, spot on. GFS forecast for tomorrow 7pm via windy.com Cumming is supposed to be 16 degrees colder than Gainesville while you could still be in a shorty in Athens.
Rhett just arrived at Van Pugh and it's already windy at 2:40PM. I plan to drive from Decatur, leaving as soon as the heavy rain goes through, in about 40 minutes.
The rain ended and the wind came roaring in. It was an epic afternoon at the Lake. Rhett was first out and quickly returned to rig down to a 5.2m sail, still big for the conditions. Photo is of Alan, & Ed calling it a day while Rhett makes one last run with me before I put my iPhone away. 2nd photo is of Ed with a big smile on his face.

Word of the day..
Acclimate
Come February you’ll be wishing for a day like tomorrow.
If it looks like there may be a break in the rain I’m headed to Lanier.
Alan
If the rain ends early enough tomorrow afternoon, I plan on heading to Van Pugh.
