Nobody got hurt but there is a lot of damage to the clubhouse roof & windows and some to boats as two of the docks in the marina got loose and collided. The clubhouse will be unusable for a while- multiple events are cancelled or rescheduled. Some dry storage boats got tossed or had trees fall on them. Boats on trailers in the junior area took a beating to rigging mostly as they got tangled up. Dozens of trees down. The beach (and changing room) were in the lee of the straight line wind from the south and are unscathed.
Thanks for the photos. Sorry to see all that damage. Hopefully everything was well insured. I guess your superior workmanship on the changing room carried the day.

Launching from Vanns, I saw you (Chris) sailing the Equipe. William, Rhett& I were foiling with 8 meter sails and needed them to get going. Gene left due to light wind & Langdon launched when it was dying.
I climbed Stone Mtn. Earlier in the day with a good S breeze, but the fickle S wind whimped out at the Lake.

Watching tomorrow as well.
I’m watching too. S wind is tempting but fickle. My son & daughter are visiting, so don’t know if I’ll have an opportunity to sail.

Conditions are very strange now. Gilmer reporting negative visibility -.25mi. Not sure what that is - you can only see what is behind you?

The fog is so thick it's reflective. Often called "mirror" or "chrome" fog.
