Van Pugh foil warning

Just a heads up with the water levels down a bit - I scratched up a wing the other day when I thought I was deep enough but there was a rock (probably chucked in by a kid or something) sticking just enough up from the bottom to snag my foil while I was uphauling.

It's been nice closer to the beach when the water was higher because once you thought you were deep enough, you usually were. Now, I'd suggest swimming out another few feet - just when the water is cooling off.

Now, I'm off to sand the wing back into shape. Sad

Edit - this probably applies to other launches as well.

There is also a stump about 30 feet from the end of the cement also slightly South about 10 feet as you line up with the cement walk. Not so hard on foils but tough on toes and other body parts.

There's also a rock formation sticking up East of the ramp, maybe 20' off the rock wall where it curves. Not sure about it's depth but it sticks up pretty high and sure could be in the path if going in or out downwind!
