I will probably do second shift at OF Tuesday late afternoon / evening
Someone should tell Neil about how addicting foiling can be...
PS
There is enough wind right now in Oakwood for our local low wind crack addict to be foiling

Oh, he knows.
Hey, Is it Old Federal Day Use Park? I have never been there. Might try to hit it around 1:00pm. But definitely going Wednesday. Neil
Yes, Old Federal Day Use Area.
We usually launch a the right hand corner of the beach.
Be mindful of a shallow area that runs from the point to the little island. (Yellow area)
Water is high so you probably would clear but be careful just in case
Rocks on the points (Red)
Yes, Day use address is 6175 Jim Crow Rd, Flowery Branch, GA 30542.
I cleared the shallow are last time I was there with a 75cm mast. it's easily avoided due to the markers though.
I'm hoping to be there by noon.
Alan
I plan to sail Tues afternoon - Van Pugh or Old Fed. ?

Veep.
It’s Tuesday Morning: Forecast looks right on the edge. Do you think there will be enough wind? I saw thunderstorms starting around 3:00pm. Thoughts?
There's a chance that the rain will be north of us. I looked at the graphic output of all three models on windy.com and it seems earlier the risk of rain is to the north of us and our risk more around 6-8.Probably best to keep an eye on the radar during the day and check the progress of weather moving in from the west. And, if you go out, mind the horizon.
But do you think the wind will be in the foiling range?
I plan to go to Old Federal when the wind starts to blow.

I am also planning on heading to the lake for foiling. Might check VP, then decide OF or VP. With potential rain/thunder later, leaning towards earlier than later, unless wind report is just not good until later. Live reports Gene!!
NOAA’s forecast of W14-22 windfinder super forecast shows SW 12-17. Depends on who’s right.
SouthWest wind seems to be stronger at Old Federal, funnel effect I guess.
Alan
SW around 12 around the airport
Alan
I'm ready. Where's the wind??
It’s not at old fed yet, seems to be coming up a little though
Alan
I am still planning on 5ish
Seeing a few caps now.
Update @12:16
More caps SSW...Rigging 7.3 now
Alan
1.00 report, old fed, some caps, 10 to 15. Alan getting some rides.
