Technology in foiling?

Saw this in the latest Planet sail video. Just think no more breaches! William keeps saying each iteration of foil is better than the last.

I think this will work well for the efoil market since it seems optimized for relatively flat water but remains to be seen if it's better than what Taaora is working on for windsport foils. Probably a hybrid of both will eventually emerge. When the water gets bumpy, it'll be interesting to see how it performs and whether it ends up fighting the rider in those conditions.

I think newer foils are better but certainly there are some good '18 and '19 foils around that shouldn't be dismissed. Starboard nailed it with their offerings, imho, and the added fuselages refined it. Slingshot made a huge jump with the infinity series. I stil love my circa '18 AFS kit. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend those at all. Fanatic, Naish, and NP, for example, made big strides from their 18 kit. Everybody was caught a bit flat footed because the market was so new and, just as importantly, we weren't sure what flight characteristics were desirable. Also, '17 and '18 kit was a bit fitted to the boards available then, including a lot of regular boards pressed into service. The foils evolved with the boards as they changed, too.
