Swap Meet in Charleston --April 24th

Check out windsurfing in the land of magnolias, mint juleps, and old money! Come to the Charleston Swap Meet April 24th. Start time is 11:00am. Location is John Thiel's "ugly green house" -- his words, not mine -- at corner of Station 29 and Middle St on Sullivan's Island. (2901 Middle St. , zip 29482 if you're MapQuesting it.) All are welcome. Liquid refreshment provided.
This is walking distance to the famous windsurfing launch, Station 29 at "Sully". Real waves to flat water speed running behind the sand bars. Who knows if it will blow? But it is sea breeze time. Odds are good. (If it doesn't, that's why you bring the carefree, hard foam surf board...right? See me if you need one. Lol (Surf anytime at the pier at Isle of Palms, about 2 minutes away -- great spot to teach kids to surf, too.) Charleston, SC also has numerous interesting windsurfing launches other than Station 29. I've had a blast windsurfing the Battery down to Ft. Sumter and back as well as from Ft. Moultrie and from Sunset park at James Island. Charleston has great shopping for spouses and the most intersting, friendliest, roof-top night life for all. And, if you can't make the Swap this time, ACWA, the Augusta/Columbia club, is doing a "Long Windsurfing Weekend in Charleston" trip here June 12th weekend. Join us then, too. (See me for details, if interested.)

How much for the Hard foam board ?

The "pre-season" price up until April 15th is : $295 for 9'...$285 for 8'...$275 for 7'.
No additonal freight. But, boards will not be in until just after June 1st. ( a $50 downpayment will suffice.) E-mail me at

or call 706-860-0639 for further details.
The N. American importer is offering this pre-season pricing to dealers to offset the increase in price this year to the currency exchange rate. The price went up on these Mac Ski boards -- a leading brand of surf boards of all types in South Africa -- in 2004. I sell surf boards only as a fun thing to the windsurfing community and barely mark them up at all. I pick up from the importer in Charleston when I go there and deliver to my customer next time I get nearby. These boards are great. They were my ticket to learning to surf quickly and my kids have gotten super stoked on them. On summer vacation at the beach, I had my girls riding waves in only the 3rd or 4th wave I pushed them into. You don';t need a board bag, wax, or have to worry about the board -- or a person -- getting dinged. Now, I also sell BIC SPORT brand surf boards and if you want a foam board sooner than June or an inexpensive epoxy board, I can get you one of those, too.
