Some of the forecasts are calling for S wind on Sunday. While I welcome it, I am a little skeptical. I've been sailing 7 years and don't recall there every being a good wind from the south. Is this just me, or is this everyone's experience? (Anyway. I'll probably be heading to Vann's Tav if it pans out.)

It is indeed rare. I remember a couple of tropical storms and the weirdest day last year. It was about 70 degrees in, what, March or April and it blew like stink. It was real up and down and I got caught out on a 5.7 when a 4.7 would have been better. A bunch of us were sailing from the LLSC that day.
