Looks like more wind today with downright balmy 43-46 degree temps and scattered clouds. The wind appears to be kicking in towards afternoon. It looks like another Van Pugh day.
Sunday turned out to be a really nice day. Scott and I drove up together and did not know what to expect as the trees and flags weren't very encouraging on the way. We arrived about 2:30 just as Mr. Carter was coming in and he reported solid 6.6 conditions for the last two hours. Mr. Pyron showed up as we rigged and we sailed happily planed up from about 3:00 to 5:00. Scott was on a 7.0 and I was on a 6.5. Don't recall what Chris was on except it was less than everybody else.
Air temps were in the mid 40's which felt fine in a 5/3 steamer and hooded vest. I have to admit it did feel odd looking at all the ice hanging on bushes and rocks around the shore line.
