St Simons WINDFEST -- this weekend

The stoke is UP for this event! We're going to have it going on, folks. Quite a few of us from the inland tribes are saying they are making the scene. It's a public beach we're having this at and a semi open-ocean venue. We have no idea how it might go down with the weather and attendance and all that, but heck, it's a beautiful beach, it's the beginning of summer -- windsurfers and boarders hanging together on the beach to appreciate these great sports -- you can't beat it! Heck, even the editor of Windsurfing Magazine says they are coming!
Demo windsurf gear: full 2008 line of Aerotech Sails, Exocet and KONA boards.
Try stand up paddleboarding. Several models and brands to test ride. With a SUP, it's all good -- wind or not! St Simons is the perfect spot.
This event is intended to be a SWAP MEET, also. Don't forget that. I know of a handful of newbies who are coming.
I'm doing clinic-style first-day ws-ing lessons.
You can also get a catamaran ride --and sailing tips -- for a special WindFest minimal rate from Bary's Beach Service.
We're doing cook out food, hosted by the Surf Sailors. It's a beach party, dude!
The place is East Beach -- at the Surf Sailors compound near the Old Coast Guard Station -- on St Simons from 11am to 6pm on Saturday AND Sunday, May 31st,/June 1st.
