Did you go? There was wind up on top of Kennesaw mountain this morning... I'm going to get my broken van looked at Mon morning. Gotta keep the windsurf mobile ready for a good day.
I went to Acworth, but they were having a wake board contest or something. Used up most of the lake so, I headed over to Galts. Was 5-10 mph and lots of boats, incl. a sailboat race, but still fun.

What happens in a black hole stays in a black hole.
I went to Galt's at 5:00 PM and sailed until about 7:00. The wind on the water was much less than the WX Channel and the tallest tree tops indicated. It was NW Somewhere between 0-6 mph, steady at times and nonexistent at others.
Perhaps it's more of the "dome effect", although the water was quite warm. Just like the Phil Collins album says "no wetsuit required."
None the less it was enjoyable just to be out on the water. It was also challenging at times just trying to stay balanced with no wind and lots of artifical chop from many boats and jetskis. Actually they all seemed very friendly and waved as they went by (using all their fingers mind you).
Thanks for the report. I was worried that the wind picked up as soon as I left, but I see that it was just more "wind inflation" from the Dobbins reporting station. Dobbins is always way more wind than anywhere else. I think that's why they call it "Windy Hill".
(I did notice there seemed to be some wind on the way home, which naturally made me wonder if I quit too soon.)
