RS:X really shone in those conditions. I think they were said to be as fast or faster downwind than the NACRAs (foiling cats). They were doing 24-25 knots off the wind.
Commentator said something goofy like "they have a lot of sail up in these conditions, something like five square meters". I listened to it twice to be sure. Glad the Olympics want to get rid of this for the exciting sport for overnight keel boat racing. /s (sarcasm)
