This Wed or Thur., July 21 or 22, I'm thinking of a canoe/kayaking trip on the Chestatee River, near Lake Lanier. It's an easy trip with class 1 rapids. The canoes & kayaks can be rented on the water, and the outfitter shuttles the boats. The advance forecast looks good.
