A walk in the park by Van Rijsselberghe who already had clinched victory. Not only does he crush the last race, too, but throws in duck jibes on the last downwind leg just to remind you how much you suck. (But he does bobble the last one.)
Watch how quickly they tack and how full their sails are.
Women's
Seven of the ten had the opportunity to medal. Elfutina (RUS) has to do a penalty turn just after the start and then tacks off to clean air. The announcers/producers totally miss following her.

They should change the format of the windsurfing competition to include a leg where they swim instead of sail, or do gymnastics on top of the board - then it would get lots of coverage. Then again, girls in swimsuits seems to make beach volleyball a hit.....

I think we've all seen windsurfing that has a lot of swimming and it ain't purty. It's called the outside jibe at Van Pugh.
I don't know you but I watch beach volleyball for the, ahem, articles. This guy below had a great magazine for articles back in the day.
They tried gymnastics on windsurfers in LA. Wasn't that big of a hit. Probably because the women were past adolescence. Plus, they didn't have to land any moves on broken ankles.
