Me, Gene, Bill, Barrett, Will, Kim, C.Py., Pat  and two Japanese on a three wheeler.  Great day.  Sunny 71 degrees.  Water is warn compared to Jan.  Everyone sailed.

I sailed over to the big island and lo and behold I found in the pine trees these big cranes with 6 foot wingspans.  I yelled and they few.  Then they came back and I notice that there were al least 15 of these large cranes and then I saw 6 nests in the pine trees.  If you have the chance you have to check this out.  This is the first time I have ever seen this on the big island directly out from our launch site at Van Pugh.  We will have to keep an eye open and watch for the chicks to hatch.

Great sailing day.  The mountains were clearly visable in the background.
