Report from the eastern front

We had a rockin' day, Monday the 12th, over here on the eastern front of ABC land at Lek Thurmond! After a beautiful 92* day on Sunday with sails in the 6.5 to 7.5 range, we were surprised that the mild cool front overnight brought one of the most solid filled-in days I've ever seen this time of year.  2 hours on 5.8 followed by 2 more hours on 5.2 up to 7:00. A couple of late arrivers stayed till dark. If any of you are in range on a windy day, Scott's Ferry Landing on Laek Thurmond is without question one of the best, if not THE best, lake windsurf launch sites in the southeast. The water is high at Thurmond like everywhere else so we'e lost our smooth-water play spot that the exposed lake bottom wave-blocker used to create; but the rigging, ease-into-water, clean exposure to everything from SW to NW, and comparative lack of boat traffic is still the best I've seen.
