Give me a break! I just read an article that commented that we have some beach use that might exceed the capacity of the beach, which could create an excuse for closure. Our beaches are COMPLETELY EMPTY in HIGH SEASON. At the busiest time in Pistol, what are there, maybe 50 people in a square mile? I'm sorry, but take an average storm in the winter, or even the winds throughout the summer, and there is more impact due to that than from anyone on the beach, unless you include government discharge and waste from city overflows.
Oh well, I guess the government is always trying to find ways to justtify itse

Or maybe the snowy plover got tired of the windsurfers from dropping in on their waves? I hear they can be territorial.
