I am trying to get there around 11:00am. Hoping wind is a little mellower to start so I can practice some lighter wind Foil attempts. Don’t know how to pump yet. See you over there. Chilly Again! Ugh

Hope to see you before you leave. I pick up a different board that should be a little more newb friendly. Old Federal worked out good for me last time, less swimming distance if/when i screw up.
Just arrived. If you squint, you might catch a tiny whitecap. But things look pretty mellow, especially after Wednesday’s chaos. I guess I have to be careful what I wish for. First one here.

Always welcome to sail with the kiters, we've been known to swim back also. I would think Old Fed would be a better launch for learning, less chop, no wind shadow and a nice safe bay to play in.
Galts 2:42 going out on 7.5. Prolly could use bigger. Beach area still closed. Launching from ramp.
4:45 update: Conditions at Galt's enough to give one religion; very Holy... 7.5 good in the biggest gusts, maybe 10% planing (planning?). Still blowing now. Saw another ws when I started. Not sure who.
Langdon texted me around lunch that Gainesville was reporting 11G30. Said he was waiting for it to become "respectable"
How does 11-25 sound? Steve drove down from SC to foil with us. Remembered his foil mast, forgot his sail mast. But that's what buds are for. (Pic below)
Hamdi, Steve, Gene and I foiled. Zee, Barrett and Chris P finned. Alan, Josh and Peggy spectated. Neil and Roland winged. Langdon hung out at Old Fed with the kiters and reports that Dave D's GPS reported a 20 ft jump.
It was fun even if gusty. One virtue of the lulls is that the water would flatten before the next gust so some smooth water over-powered jibes were had. Weeeee!
I had a lightbulb moment today. With a pointer from Chris at the right time. Some good wind and the more stable board, I found that wing can actually stabilize me, instead of me trying to stabilize the wing. ?
Thanks for the photo Gene!!! I would say all you Windsurf Foilers would catch on to the Wing very quickly. I had never foiled before so learning to foil just with the Wing has been pretty challenging, even with my hoards of water-sport experience. I am starting to have a lot fun. The most frustrating part is that I do need a hearty gust to get up on Foil. I haven’t figured out the pumping part yet. I am guessing that as the weather warms up and we shed rubber, I will be a little lighter and it may make it a bit easier to pop up. Also, it would be interesting for me to try and get up on Foil using my wing on one of your high performance windsurf boards. It would have to be something pretty low liter and light but it seems prettt possible. See ya next time!!
+1

+ another. I think Neil and probably Chris V are in.
Maybe, depending on work.
Maybe for me in the afternoon
Morning.

Me and the 5.7 found the wind to be tolerable at OF.
Foiled from 5:45 until 8pm
I think there was 4 kiters at OF. Maybe Dave and fill in the details

Neil making the wing thing look easy, I'm sure it's not.
