A little music to get you psyched:
(should be something here for everyone)

O-Jays: Living for the Weekend

Hard-Fi: Living for the Weekend

CeeLo Green: Bright Lights Bigger City

Mac Miller: Weekend
Lyrics definitely NSFW on this one DO NOT PLAY AT WORK. Unless you are self-employed, you will get fired. But, look at it this way, you'll have plenty of time to work on your jibes.

The Vapors: Waiting for the Weekend

Brantley Gilbert: The Weekend (somewhere, George Jones is spinning in his grave)

And the song you came here for:
Lover Boy: Working for the Weekend

--- The Arrogant Jerk: Crabby and irritable since 1998.

Since I have never heard of any of these bands, maybe you might make an exception and play something a little different.

Here are some suggestions:
Lemon Pipers
The Troggs
It's A Beautiful Day
La Tour
Mitch Ryder
Semisonics
Shadows Of Night

Just to mention a few

It's a theme party. Gotta bring something that fits. Besides, probably want to use the original and not a cover for this one. Biggrin

Them (Van Morrison): Gloria

Ya, I know you may not have heard of most of these, and that's the point - pushing those boundaries a bit. Can't keep sailing off the same beach every time. Biggrin

I think this one is on point.

  1. Drive to body of water
  2. Rig sail
  3. Attach sail to board
  4. Sail
  5. Drink beer

Probably in this order...

Meanwhile in the cycling world:

Quote:
This year's xxx Ride has been cancelled due to continued air quality issues caused by the forest fires in North Georgia. Code Red air quality alerts will continue throughout the week. As you are aware, we are experiencing incredibly poor air quality due to the extreme smoke caused by the wildfires. The prediction for this week-end is very high winds producing even more smoke filtering into our area. Many riders have expressed their concern about the safety due to the smoke situation. After careful consideration and discussions regarding the safety conditions for this Saturday's xxx bike ride, we've decided to cancel the ride in the best interest for the health and well-being of our riders.

As a windsurfer, all I read was blah, blah, blah very high winds blah, blah

fyi - NWS model has upped the forecast. The other models aren't as high. Be aware of the conditions and what your comfort zone is. Tomorrow isn't supposed to be as big so waiting is an option.

Re: Nov 19-20

I, too, will be back tomorrow.

NWS says it was only blowing 15-25 ish at the airport while we were getting blown off the water with 4.5s. It eased up in the afternoon to 4.5-5.5 conditions. Weird. Bunch of windsurfers plus Hizzoner, Jere, on a 10m kite. Great day. Better report later. Barrett will have pics.
