Hi everyone,

It's not too early to start thinking about your New Year's Resolutions.  I'm going to put out my list in hopes of getting everyone to jump in with their own ideas.  However, to make this really useful (and hold myself accountable) I am going to also tell HOW I plan to keep my resolutions:

R1.        I will sail more and work less
How - I will fire myself from my job as a self-employed consultant.  (My boss says I leave work one more time to go sailing and I’m fired….)

R2.      I will always rig the correct sail size and use the right board and fin.
How - I am selling all my sails, boards and fins, except one each.

R3.      I will support the local windsurfing economy.
How - See Gene's Consignment shop for the rest of my gear.

R4.      I will attend every meeting of the ABC
How -      In my new job as night waiter at the Brandy House

R5.        I will not buy any more boards and sails.
How -      Easy, see R1 and R4.

R6.      I will post 100% accurate wind forecasts on the ABC Web Page
How - I will only release forecasts a day AFTER the wind blows

R7.      I will master the Carve Jibe
     How – I will start calling my right handed flare jibe "The Carve Jibe"

R8.      I will master all maneuver’s equally well on both my Port and Starboard sides
     How – I’ll do them all right handed

R9.      I will teach my kids to windsurf
     How – as punishment for spending too much time on the internet.

R10.      I will become a more well rounded person, trying new things other than windsurfing.
     How - I will try kitesurfing.  Being pulled across the beach a few dozen times curled up in a ball should knock off some of the rough edges.

R11.      I will learn the difference between Port and Starboard.
     How – right after I learn the difference between the stern and the bow.
