Looks like Chinook has come out with a hybrid ujoint for foiling that combines the virtues of a tendon and mechanical. Makes it easier to assemble your gear in the water instead of carrying it all in at once.

Available both as one and two bolt (Chinook plate) style. However limited to Euro pin not the US cup many of us use. Pretty pricey, however. Edit: I'm wrong. Available in both Euro pin and US cup.
