This video is supposed be about this guy testing this prototype foil board. Seems strange they would have such nice graphics and paint job on a proto. OTOH why would he make this up?

I'm pretty confident the protos are made in the factory and shipped out to the team riders for testing. See the "Testing with Werner" post. Just about everything is done by CAD/CAM these days, even Alex at Tillo designs the boards in software and has the blank machined. It's a lot faster and much more accurate. Werner Gnigler talks about the tolerances in the video in the post I linked. Even considering shipping, it's also probably a lot cheaper than someone handshaping and finishing the board in Europe.
Nico is the real deal. He'd look like an idiot to his sponsors if he fibbed on this one.
From the land of baguettes. Unfortunate that the spot of water was in the center of the lens. The guy killing it on the green sail is on a Zeeko alu foil. You don't have to spend a lot to have fun.
Part of my wants to apologize. The other part is laughing knowing that all the aspiring foil-bros suffered through it for 3 minutes. Rites of passage: ya gotta pay your dues.
New Fanatic 2019 foils. "Completely redesigned..." Sucks if you just bought an '18 900cm go fast wing plus 1200cm freeride wing in the Slingshot/NP Glide appearance. Multiple heads available including Powerbox (iirc). They ditched the problematic "carbon compound" fuselage and have gone to machined aluminum.
Published last Aug. No, not that old. That's a recent design of his.
He blamed it on crab traps but I don't remember seeing many crab buoys out there.
Which why it is the foiling version of Russian Roulette. I think the point of all this was the Horue foil floats though it shouldn't have mattered there. If your foil breaks off due to running aground it probably doesn't need to float.

Love the running start! Maybe I'll give it a try next time windsurfing.

As with most tricks - I've done that. But not intentionally.

Oy that music is annoying ?

I liked the part when they showed the 12m formula vs. 6 m foil. I kept wondering which one would run aground first.....

That's why I always let the other guy get ahead of me when drag racing. I'm not slower, just smarter.

A little inspiration for this weekend - the forecast is starting to look interesting. We expect videos of this quality from Randy soon.
And for you SUV types, RRD's new 180cm board! (That's 71 in freedom cm.

What's better than a foil jibe? Waving hi to your friends as you exit.
I happened onto this on a random post on Seabreeze. Anything look familiar to any of you guys?

Not brave either which makes the other explanation much more likely. He blamed it on crab traps but I don't remember seeing many crab buoys out there.
