More on Aruba.....

For those of you who actually read this here it goes. Contrary to David's posts I sailed every day, taking an hour lunch and had a few brief moments not planing. The best day was Sunday, 16th, I was on a sweet, I mean sweet board 106 Liter JP Freeride Carve and a 5.0 NP Zone, screaming fast. Got in several jibes, one of which was on camera. Saturday, the 15th, I started on a JP Freeride 145 Liter and a 6.5 and went down to a 5.7 in the afternoon when the wind picked up, and switched the MaxAir 116 (i think), and I spent time practicing my boomerangs, and push tacks. Friday was an epic day, especiallly when Chuck and I took out the F2 tandem board. Chuck had a 5.4 on front and I had a 6.2 and we made that puppy scream. We took off an a 2 mile run down to the jeddies and managed to tack a couple of times with it. It was unreal how fast we were going and it was super smooth ride. Now that was fun!!! Thursday was video day and I actually managed to get a jibe on film, (thanks to Dasher)and all of us were filmed including Joe, Scott, Mel, Chuck, Dave, Drew, with the exception of Andrew who purposly avoided the camera due to his contract with NBC, and Eric was taking a break. Wednesday was on the light side and as Dave mentioned I took out a 6.0 based on the asumption it would pick up in the afternoon which didn't happen so I spent part of the day on and off a plane. Tuesday, was great and I was dialed on a 6.0, and the Maxair. I first tried the F2 Wizard, which I didn't like, due to its extreme tendacy to point into the wind. This Christmas we can show some great video and photo's of the ABC gang in Aruba. Maybe next year we can double the participation. BTW the bday was a blast, thanks everbody for coming.
