Dang, I added 1º on the advice of F4 guy... =3º Shok
I guess VP for convenience, though I drove through Vanns today and was reminded what a cool place it is for its view (and long SE fetch).

Pro tip: don't listen to guys who can barely fly. I just saw that big wing and figured: "He isn't going to have any trouble getting out of the water with that thing."

While I prefer Vann's, I could go for either.

Good FAQ (although somewhat tortured translation) : https://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=fr&tl=en&u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.windsurf.boutique%2Factus%2Ffaq-windfoil.html&sandbox=1

"To give an idea, it takes 2 half days to a good browser to start flying on entire edges. The observed record is 15-20mn for young competitors like the girls of the France cluster."

Shok

I don't think Google Translate did very well in high school French, either. Word has it that they were part of the 420 club behind the gym. Wink

I think it means that French women are up on the wings in about 20 minutes which is about a year and 20 minutes faster than this American old guy.

Re: Monday 3/6

did anybody go to Vann's? I left my old 400 rdm mast in it's bag sitting on the side rail of the upper parking lot. If not does anybody have the # for George (RC glider guy) and or who to contact at COE for lost stuff? Chris 404-396-1542.

Best possible outcome - apparently George picked it up & informed William & I can get it from George. Thanks. Lesson here for me is don't set any gear in a separate location from the rest.

Chris, George Ferrris http://martinwing.com/

Everyone else, George is the great guy who adopted Vanns Tavern Park and has added a lot of improvements on his own. You'll see him there either looking over things or flying his RC flying wings like he was today. On east winds, the upslope wind there let's his gliders soar indefinitely.
