I sailed there a long time ago and recall west wind was squirrelly in the lee of high rise hotels... but that was only a thing for me to whine about at the regatta (they had the freaking weather mark set right up in the wind shadow of the Marriott). The Sailing Center is on the bay. It's ~3/4 mi across to the other shore. I'd guess any kind of north or south is great there. And there are prolly a gazillion other places, bay & gulf, to sail nearby.
That's correct, but racing only March 4,5,6

Is that a good place to sail? Is it ocean or bay? Shallow or deep?
