A coupIe of questions about the video: Is the control bar pictured one that you adapted yourself for reeling in the kite? Did you then paddle the kayak back upwind to your original launching point?
I actually bought the bar when it was offered in a kickstarter project - it does limit the kite size though - only 2m in this case . When I have more space, I just use a conventional bar. I bring paddle with me to get back upwind if necessary, or for recovery if the wind drops. I think with more practice and power I will be able to plane upwind.
