Lost Kiteboard

I lost a KiteBoard yesterday the 12th of Nov. infront of the Old federal Park while we were kitesurfing : ( when a series of unfortunate events happened.

Now Im considering a board leesh once again after not using it for several years ! (when I fell of the board and it came flying back to my head-Helmet saved my life )

it must have gone downwind to the houses on the other side (point west,, point south) does anyone know if they have a news paper of something they all read ?

If anyone finds it please email or call me Its a F-One 192 Directional Board

Bummer. Hope the board finds it's way home. Being a directional, at least it won't be mistaken for a wake board. Regarding the leash - a couple of the guys who kite here use a retractable leash instead of the bungee / slingshot type. It's similar to dog leashes you might have seen. It'll run out about 20 to 25 feet of strap, but doesn't recoil until you press a release on the housing. Comes in handy in the currents / tides.

The recoil reel leash that Thin'air is talking about is the NSI Reel Leash. Konrad and David were using it last Sunday at Old Federal. Other alternative is to use a Go Joe (from Ocean Rodeo, check it out at http://www.oceanrodeo.com). Where is place to get all these goodies... off ocurse, Locus Wind, your ATL source of kitesurfing needs!!!!.

Although I do not love the idea of using a leash (have not use one since many years ago), Lanier gusty nature speacially in low wind condition may proove to be a necesity. If you can not relauch (cause low wind speed), then more probable than not, you will get separated from your board without a chance to recover it, unless you go scout the coast of downwind houses with a waverunner, a boat or yes a WINDSURF as Konrad did couple weeks ago.

Khaleel, hope you find you board.

Actually I have the NSI reel leash, but one time the connection with the board snapped and the small metal came back and hit me in the chest and left a big bruise Sad so i stopped using it.

the ocean rodeo leash seems like a better solution.

thanks
