longboard friendly daze

Lately and over the next week looks like lots of breezy days - maybe not all so good for shortboarding without big gear, but all real fine for longboarding considering the time of year and the balmy temps. I've been sailing a good bit and wearing a shorty when I think I can probably avoid falling. Potential for sat.,sun.,mon.,tue.?

I sailed the paddle board yesterday at the dock. Wore a 3/2 and booties. Not much of a day. Wind was odd. Only fell in when I got backwinded.

Chris, what are you plans these next few days?

Water is cold but not real bad.

The NWS forecast looks good for Mon.-Wed. with enough wind to plane with my JP Super Light Wind board. Hope it's as windy as forecast. Chris, Dave- please give me a call if you decide to go.

Sailed today at Mary Alice. Very nice longboarding/windsup type day. Sailed 6.2. Perfect longboard type day, just a Chris predicted.

I've sailed Tidwell on SSW and it worked pretty well using a longboard and I've used a formula/extra wide type board with a big sail there as well. You need to get into the channel and then sail upwind a bit, and it can be pretty good. The days I went were a couple of years ago, and it was fairly gusty.

Since AJ is busy with his Sensitivity Training Team Building Conference, I'll fill in for him.

If the wind holds, I am heading to LLSC after lunch.
It's an open regatta w/e (Leukemia Cup), so the gate should be open.

Pat P call from Old Fed at 11:15, said it's blowing some. I guess everybody meet in the middle?

What to do, where to go, beautiful day no matter.

Re: longboard friendly daze

It was a beautiful day. Had a few good planing runs on big gear. However it was more of a longboard day. ChrisV came out later in the afternoon. There was someone that sailed over from old fed or elsewhere. It was a long way downwind from me, ChrisP? Please let is know.
Have fun today if you can get out there today, looks windy outside.

That was me downwind out of old fed on Super Light - I worked up around the islands as far as going into LLSC cove, & wondered who y'all were. I had a nice day myself. Pat Parks also sailed from OF. Present weather is something, warm and breezy to windy every day for a solid week. Get out and enjoy if you can. ChrisP.

I was busy attending political rallies. In keeping the informal house rules around here, not revealing which rally and in what capacity I attended. Let's simply say that it reminded me of the mosh pits of my youth.
