I rode in N. Ga. today. No wind up on the mountain tops. Cloudy all day. Small amount of drizzle starting around 4 pm. Saw CP leaving Vanns and headed E on 369.
CP was there and Foildood cruised by and said hi as he helped corral those dang fast catamarans
* Foildood, was those catamarans AC14's?
A Class. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_A-class_catamaran Kind of like the Porsche's of the small boat sailing scene. It's a development class - so refinement is encouraged and why they have embraced foils. Same weight as a Laser, twice as much sail area. As you saw today, glorious when they lift up on their foils.
I went late afternoon, caught a bit of the cat racing. Caught a couple of puffs on foil and 7.0 CV was doing race committee so he didn't miss much but did take some video of me. With a bit of pumping it's amazing what a foil can do.

A development class that started in the1960's. You would think by now they would have it pretty well figured out.

Interesting reading on the path to what you see today: http://www.a-cat.org/?q=node/8
Chris alerted me that the front caused carnage to the boats on the beach Saturday night. Sad to see.
