from Jeff Feehan on rec.windsurfing:
i just came across this site today - i saw it mentioned in a thread
on the sci.geo.satellite-nav newsgroup.i think it's fantastic. you can upload your raw gps tracklogs to the
site, and it will plot them on a background map which you can then save
to your local disk. the really great thing is that you can color the
plotted track according to speed.here is a tracklog of me sailing my formula gear last summer, which i
plotted on the site:http://www.anemomania.com/windsurfing/formulatrack.html
the plotter lets you choose from a variety of maps and aerial photos
for the background. it makes maps in the svg (scalable vector graphics)
format, so you can zoom in and out.jeff feehan
