In case you haven't stopped by the Atlanta Boardsailing Club website recently, we are in the midst of a pretty big overhaul of the underneath workings. Improved weather, forums, picture galleries are just a few of the changes. If you've had any trouble registering for the new site, let me know. I haven't had the chance to write all the help pages yet, so contact me directly. Generally, if you are having trouble, you can go to the "Lost Password" page and enter either your username _or_ your email. You don't need both to get a new password. This typically takes care of 90% of the problems. 9% are folks who mistype an upper case I for a lower case L, o (letter O) for 0 (zero), etc.
I'd like to remind you that we are having our annual Holiday Party and White Elephant Gift exchange at my home Dec 19 from 6:30 pm onwards.My address is 3227 Habersham Rd., Atlanta 30305. Directions, etc will be on the website by Monday. If you'd like to bring a side dish or dessert, please email me. If you planning to come, you may want to drop me a line, too, so we have a rough idea of how many to expect. If you haven't come before, it's a really nice relaxed evening usually with 40-50 folks who understand what a good 5.0 day is about.
Membership: we've decided to become a "free" club for a while. We have a decent $ reserve, no big expenses since we can't find anyone to spend 30 hrs a month on the newsletter so we figured there's no reason to take folks' money. Membership for the forseeable future will merely consist of signing up as a member on the website. I'm working on integrating the old database into it. If you are presently a "registered user" of the website, email me your username so I can go ahead and synch you up to the database. By next week, there will be a way to do that online. Again, any ?s, shoot me an email.
