Looks like a great idea. This is how Jack Bauer would surf. A way to be free from the fickle nature of waves. Might get a little expensive. Not sure where this was shot, but Baghad comes to mind. Probably not the best technique for places like the Potomac or Hudson rivers (Homeland Security being the killjoys they are), but might just work in the Hooch. Now, if someone could only come up with a comparable idea for wind.

You dont need it on the hooch, theres a standing wave just south of the howell mill road treatment plant .... of course you would have to dodge the little brown logs coming down river.

a friend of mine got arrested for fishing like that years ago off a highway bridge. We never thought of surfing it... stupid me... maybe next time
