Anyone know if the Corp of Engineers are releasing water from Lanier or has the Gov shutdown halted that?
Launching yesterday was a pain in the butt. Hoping the water goes down soon.
Speaking of butt's though, Happy to report the bathrooms at Van Pugh are open.

They've been dumping water like crazy. It was almost a foot lower yesterday than it was over the weekend when it was up to the grass and covered the volleyball court.
Yes, great news about the bathrooms. I was scared they were closed and had drunk a full cup of coffee on the way up there. It's times like that where you are happy to pay for the parking pass and help fund the parks.

Lake dumping water like crazy and restrooms open.....is there a connection here???

No more coffee for webguy. The lake is full enough as it is...

Even more great news. The bathroom at Mary Alice Park is also open. You can tell by the little green semi circle....

For the folks NW of us, it's going to be a tough week with up to 10" of rain. If we got that, Lanier would be setting records.

We got some of that last night in Dahlonega .
(Local terminology for the event would be "Frog Strangler")
Some good news is that slick spot on the VP launch will now be waist to shoulder
1074+ and still climbing like a rocket. Didn't help that the front stalled out right over the tiny 'hooch watershed and actually backed up. More rain to the west.
