For some years I have contemplated kiting Lake Windward, I finally did it on Monday with Sam's help with the launch and keeping me from drifting into the shore/coves. The wind was terrible with ~80% of the time spent drifting downwind waiting for a decent puff to align with the narrow lake. I did have a few reaches and the water was smooth! It was a novelty and could work better on another day, but it makes Lake Lanier look excellente. The neighbors along the lake were fired up :-).

That's awesome. Just wait till the neighbors see you wingfoiling!!

I attempted to Wind SUP in a local reservoir a couple weeks ago. Very strict policy against bodily contact with the water but I figured it’s a wide forgiving SUP....I’ll be fine. Wind picked up and I was getting some decent rides but got to close to the distant shore and the wind swirled around back winded me right into the water ?. Not wanting to get myself banned from a great place to kayak I decided it’s best to not try that again.

I'm glad Richard posted this as it saved me from bugging him to do it.
He's been wanting to do this for a long time and finally glad he got the chance. Richard, one more to mark off your bucket list. It's fun to explore new spots even if they don't turn out to be the neext OBX or Maui.
Gee I must have more fun than anyone......And I don't even believe in bucket lists. (Well, I do have a bucket list of toys I want.)
