A friend and i sailed a 3m2 foil kite( (his)and rode a long board skateboard today.
the wind was 7-10 gusty over the Event site parking lot.
It was very fun and it seemed to be very good pratice!
It reminded me of the sail version of skate boarding which i think is a little more fun. But the kite is a blast because of the new skills developed flying of the kite
without looking and the pull it gives.
It is seems to be a low risk -- no hooking in with a harness and the speeds are not that great-- just a matter of jumping off the board..

by the way i sailed a 4.2 Jan. 12 at the Wall .. 5 out including 1 woman!
