I used a 5.7 Hot Sails Maui(courtesy of Fred Dey) 12 days ago (April 25).
I used my 6.5 Sailworks Retro 16 Days ago (April 22).
I cheated though. Both of these happened at Hatteras. Last time I used my 6.5 in Atlanta was April 8 at Vann's Tavern, although it was too small. The previous day at Galt's with it was great though.

I would have to say that this was the WORST season I have ever seen here (in the last 10 years). I remember one 4.7 day last October and 2 days in Feb on a 5.2 sail. Every year we have had at least one sub 5.0 day in April, usually more. Not this year, not even in March!
Wouldn't the average Atlanta sailor be better off not buying or even keeping equipment here, and just taking an anual trip to Bonaire or Aruba?

I will admit that this year has not been that great but I did use every sail that I had ( 7.5, 6.6, 5.5, 5.0 & 4.5 ) in Cocoa Beach in late February during the mid winters championship. I just used my 6.6 fully powered in the Gulf at Seagrove beach just two days ago.
By the way I am selling all my stuff, except my neat little yellow foam helmet, to make money to go to Aruba - any takers. O.B.O.

I guess it is all a matter of perspective. This has been by far my best sailing year ever. With a 100 cm wide board (and smaller sized sailor), this has helped improve my sailing a lot. I've been able to sail a lot of days this year as well.
I used a 7.2 last Sat, a 6.0 on May 2, april 11 (Sta. 29 in Charleston, however) and my 5.2 and 6.0 on March 10). I admit, I do use smaller sails than others for a given amount of wind. I have used 7.2 and 8.2 or bigger most of the time however.
