Imagine a world without motorboats

Yes, while I admit I own one (I feel like a vegan copping to having had a Bic Mac yesterday), the lake would be lovely without the traffic and turbulence of our motor friends. I watched this video for about 5 min before I realized that no motorboats had appeared at all, even in the drone shots. That helped explain the lovely water state even with the 10-15 mph winds. Incidentally, all of Lake Garda (which this isn't) motorboat regs are quite strict and they are even prohibited in the northern part of the lake.

Lake Juliette is about as close as you’ll get to that fantasy.

Will we have a way to get on Lake Juliette this winter?

It will not be long before Hartwell, Julliette and West Point wind forecast will be on my browser

West Point had very little boat traffic when we went the last year or so

Yeah, that place can get scary for the lack of boat traffic and it's size. First time there, I thought there was a national emergency or something and that's why no one was there. I hesitate to say "Zombie Apocalypse" because until this year, that seemed silly. Now, it's only somewhat unreasonable to imagine coughing, hacking zombies entering the parking lot being chased by murder hornets while rain from Hurricane Triple Zed pours down at the dam there while I'm trying to rig a sail.

Same thing for Hartwell during the work week - the lack of boats, not the zombies. Biggrin

Imagine re-imagined.....

Imagine there's no boaters
It's easy if you try
No fools around us
Above us only kites
Imagine all the windsports riding today
Imagine empty beaches
It isn't hard to do
Lots of wind that’s to die for
And no slimy geese poo
Imagine all the cool dudes riding high on stoke, you
You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope some day you'll join us
And the world will be more fun
Imagine tons of gear
A brotherhood in wind
Imagine all the windsports sharing all the water, you
You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope some day you'll join us
And the world will be more fun

What happens in a black hole stays in a black hole.

Yes, Georgia power runs it now and is year round.
