If it’s NOT blowing as hard as predicted, I am going.
There’s the difference in perspective between experienced sailors like Chris (and others who posted here) vs wanna-be’s like me! If it gusts as hard as predicted, it is above my competency level.
Looks like a bunch of rain this morning with the large band going through. Winds turn more S afterwards. Early birds might want to consider WP, probably won't clear Lanier until about 2 (rough guesstimate). What worries me about Lanier is the big patch of rain behind the band that's over B'ham right now. That would move in pretty quickly after and I don't think is lifting to the N quick enough to clear Lanier.
Decent hour+ foiling for me and I got out of there before heavy rains (that I ran into during my drive home).
4.7 And 790 wing worked well in the gusts, giving me rides about 60% of the time. 6.4 would have led to 80-90% success but I was too chicken that gusts would increase and that cam sail would be too much to handle. All in all, happy to have the quick early session.
What an incredible day turned out to be! I had so much fun. Did some fin and then some foil. It was awesome! So good to see everyone! You guys have fun tomorrow at VP! Looking forward to our next adventure!

Never really learned to fin, so that definitely doesn’t help me ?
Planning to go to Vanns around 11 will bring a 120 freeride as well as foil quiver. Looking forward to seeing everyone!

I’ll head to Vanns tomorrow, Tues., if not too much rain on radar.
AM update - waiting until mid-day for band of strong rain on radar to pass through.

Yep, looks like a long day of occasionally heavy training rain.
Don’t want to plane in training rain. Or foil.
I’ll wait for West Wind Wednesday
8:45 vans live - no rain at the moment, some white caps but not crazy blowing. Rogier and I so far
Of course, my off days ended Monday, just in time for me to miss the fun. I will have to live through you guys. Pictures always appreciated!
