Reminds me of the Mel Brooks movie... what was it? History of the World Part I? Whatever, a truly funny movie.... memorable line: "It's great to be king."
But I digress.
This is a windsurfing club web site. Please respect and accept that your fellow windsurfers may not share your political view, gender affiliation, gender preference or taste in music. Please accept the reality that I will have a short fuse on off-topic posts regarding politics, what one does behind closed doors and on Sunday/Saturday mornings at your particular place of worship (if, in fact, you do worship or believe it necessary or not necessary).
There are places for those discussions. This, however, isn't one of them. If you do post, one of three things will happen: 1) We'll show the flaws in your arguments, making you feel worthless and dejected. 2) You'll look like a boob to at least 50% of the club who disagrees with you and 3) I'll just delete the thread. Whether you disagree whether the first two things will happen, I think the last one you can bet money on.

the management
Loved it ... thanks webguy
See ya on the water ..
Hey Webguy -- check out Picture 1 of 9 in the "Hurricane Katrina and "He Windsurfed" Cartoon " gallery. If you are going to be consistent on the issue, should that be here?
I'll be happy to "show the flaws" and make the poster feel "worthless and dejected", but that would be like shooting fish in a barrel. You might as well use option 3.
But actually, that cartoon mentioned "windsurfing" and referred to a well-known windsurfer and referred to an event that affected at least tangentially the windsurfing community here - plus it was funny. I've deleted the cartoon for "consistency's sake" despite my having to use the word 'windsurfing' 3 times to describe the cartoon and why someone else posted it.
I'll mightily bite my lip to stop here.
Webguy,
You don't have to be consistent. There is a legal principle known as "The Divine Right of WebMasters" that says you don't have to. Been that way for centuries.

Stop the presses... Webguy is bitting his lip! That is sooo boring. Let it rip man! Or do we need to meet face to face "to find out what you really think"
Share a beer with me and I will. I figure we could have a nice conversation online but I don't want to set a precedent. Quite often, I've seen on other places where it devolves into a shouting match. Only the loudest voices (and they tend not to be the ones in the middleground) post. Everyone else gets tired of it and drift away.
The email list never recovered from Scott Cannon and Glenn Tanner letting loose on each othe back in '97. Raise your hands if you remember that one.
Definitely not boring but pretty loud.
I remember... not what it was about exactly... just how entertaining it was.
