How treated is "treated"?

http://www.ajc.com/news/gwinnett/gwinnett-opens-gates-on-520727.html

This story raged for a while with the LL Assoc. but it's slinked back by under my radar somehow. I assume the return pipe is somewhere on the Gwinnett side of the dam– maybe up Shoal Creek.

Yep, effluent good enough to drink.

When I was in Maui, the Mayor had a demo day at the sewage treatment plant next to Kanaha Beach. He actually took a glass of the discarge and drank it, claiming " This stuff taste great ".

Of course, we all know it didn't.

The mayor refused to dive in thought. He had to call the line somewhere.

Everytime I go over there that places stinks downwind. Fortunately, Kanaha Beach is mostly up wind but my freind who lives on the island lives down wind or the plant.
