Ideas welcome...
If someone is willing to sell a used full "narrow pin" universal(s), that would be great.
Or I'll find the parts somewhere.
I want to have two functioning universals again.
(I have two superlight II's for racing and for the kids to practice on.)
- The first one is a simple tendon and I have replaced it once. I got this one from Calema - I will reach out to them too - but they are shut-down like everyone else.
- The second one seems serviceable, but I have not taken it apart yet.

Top one just needs an $18 tendon. Get a Chinook. Easy peasy to replace.
The bottom one - is that a mechanical that expired after 25 years? That's probably more problematic to replace. It may be easier to get a replacement. I'd reach out to North Beach in St. Pete, Progressive in Daytona or windpower for advice.
Pretty sure you can use a modern pin that's still used by Starboard, Exocet and maybe Bic. Windpower has all sorts of arcane vintage stuff and the other two have been really good to locals for a long time supporting us individually or regattas, etc

In the meantime, I'll search the old box for something you can borrow in the meantime. I won't be up at the lake for a couple of days, though.
Thank you - you are the man.
I think I have what you need- left overs from the GT refurbs. Can check tonight.
I ordered tendons from North Beach Windsurfing, Marki there was super helpful - on Sunday!
(so one of the universals will be all good)
Try Watersports West in Largo Fl. Steve has been a great help finding vintage Mistral and other Windsurfing items for me
