Chest deep water for miles, little or no chop, rig your equipment once and leave it the whole week, tons of shops to actually see the latest equipment.

We have again reserved the ever-popular "West Wind" from April 25-May 2. It's located on the sound side and literally just steps away from flat shallow water. There is plenty of room for gear set-up and storage of equipment and trailers. The house has been a favorite of Atlanta area windsurfers for years.

The house is a 4-Bedroom/3.5-Bath, with three queen sized beds, four bunks, and a loft. We only plan to have two, maybe 3, in the bunkroom, so a full house will be 8-9 singles. The cost for the rental should be between $160-$200 per person. “West Wind” is in Rodanthe, about 15 miles north of Avon, so crowds are never a problem (no one but your buds will see you blow that duck jibe or loop attempt). It has lots of room to spread out and get comfy.

We will use a "house food plan" to cover breakfast and lunch...that way we don't end up with a refrigerator with four jars of mayonnaise and five gallons of milk. Plan on spending about $80 for food. In addition, each room will also be responsible for cooking one evening meal. The remaining evening meals will be at one of the local restaurants.
