Great Jibe Tutorial

In my continuing effort to reduce the amount of swimming done by the local windsurfing community (includes myself)

Here's a good walk through of a jibe:

I've stitched the first and last photos together to illustrate something that really helped me - thinking of the jibe as a 120 degree turn rather than a 180 degree turn. First, bearing off the wind builds speed and speed is our friend. Second, as is mentioned in the blog post, it's important to look at your exit. And, your exit should again be off the wind. Shortening the turn helps you keep speed through the turn and makes accelerating out of the turn much easier.

Like I said, I'm not great at this but when I remember to do it, my jibes improve and I don't need to inflate my water wings as much.
